Participants who want to work in software testing should first have the ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level certificate. There is no prerequisite for taking the Certified Tester Foundation Level exam, but participants must have the Certified Tester Foundation Level certificate to take other ISTQB exams. Participants who have taken the ISTQB CTFL exam from other institutions must contact the institution from which they received their certification and ensure that their certificates are listed on http://scr.istqb.org.
You can access the Syllabus under the Publications menu on our website. In addition, you can study for sample exams published by ISTQB. You can access the sample exams from the relevant exam title under the Certification menu on our website.
There is only a translation of the CTFL Syllabus and Glossary. There is no translation of sample exams.

There is no prerequisite for the Foundation Level exam. In order to participate in other ISTQB exams, it is a prerequisite to be a CTFL exam candidate. Exams are prepared according to the syllabus announced by ISTQB and education is not mandatory. Work experience is important in Advanced Level exams and is not a prerequisite for participating in the exam.

As TTB, we only organize ISTQB exams and do not provide any training. You can obtain information about training from the Accredited Training Providers page on the TTB website.

There is no age limit for participating in the exams.

After your exam registration is completed, you will be contacted via e-mail as soon as possible to determine your exam date. The exam schedule availability is shared with you and you are asked to select the slot you want to participate in the exam. Before registering for the exam, you can get information about the program by sending an e-mail to certification@turkishtestingboard.org adresine e-mail göndererek program hakkında bilgi alabilirsiniz.

When you complete your registration by choosing bank transfer as the payment method, you can make your payment no later than 15 days before your exam date.

No reminder will be sent for the exam. It is the participant's responsibility to follow the exam day and time and to follow the exam access e-mail that will arrive no later than 3 days before the exam and reach the TTB team by phone and e-mail if it does not arrive. Exams are organized according to GMT +03:00 Turkey time.

An exam access e-mail will be sent to you via the Mettl Exam System no later than three days before your exam date. If the exam access link does not arrive, you need to contact the TTB team. You can test computer compatibility by running the test link in the exam access e-mail.

In order to participate in the exam without any problems in the online exam system:

You must have a computer with a camera and microphone and a smartphone for the exam.

The computer and phone must be connected to a stable internet connection.

You must open the exam link with the current version of the Chrome browser. The exam link will direct you to download Mettl Secure Browser (MSB). MSB will ask you to close all applications, firewalls, antivirus programs, screen recording and remote connection applications running in the background on your computer.

Camera and microphone access permissions must be granted on both your computer and phone. The proctor will watch you through the cameras during the exam.

You must have an ID, passport or driver's license with you during the exam. You will need to take a photo of your face and ID while entering the exam.

The candidate must not have a phone, worksheet, Syllabus, blank paper, smartwatch, dictionary, calculator, second screen, etc. in the area where candidate takes the exam.

It is not recommended to take the exam on a work computer.

You can contact your exam representative via e-mail or you can reach us by phone. Our operation team will assist you.
If you cannot enter the exam, your exam time will not be reduced, your exam time will start when the technical problems and controls are resolved and the proctor starts your exam.

The system will direct you to Mettl Secure Browser (MSB) at the exam entrance. You can connect your mobile camera by scanning the QR code that will appear without downloading an application to your phone.

You should enter the exam with a phone that has an up-to-date system and browser version and a full battery. The phone must be unplugged during use.

You must enter the exam with a computer that has a camera and microphone and is connected to the internet. It is recommended that you use your personal computer.

It is forbidden to take breaks and leave the screen during the exam.

It is forbidden to eat and drink, use tobacco and other products during the exam.

It is forbidden to participate in the exam with a second screen.

It is forbidden to wear headphones, use a smart watch, use a printed or digital dictionary, use a calculator and use paper and pencil during the exam. If you wish, you can use an erasable board. The erasable board must be empty at the beginning and end of the exam.

It is forbidden to cheat during the exam, talk to someone, read the questions out loud, take screenshots and recordings, note the questions and answers, and ask the exam proctor about the exam questions.

In cases where the candidate does not comply with the exam rules and behaves suspiciously, the proctor may stop the exam and warn you, and the exam may be terminated and deemed invalid.

During the exam, the exam participant and the exam screen are monitored and recorded from your computer and smartphone's camera for security purposes. Proctors, TTB employees and exam platform employees do not have the authority to access any documents or information other than the exam screen on your computer. You can contact the proctor via the chat on the exam screen during the exam. It is forbidden to ask the proctor about the questions, you can only get support for technical problems.

Only the Foundation Level exam is available in Turkish in the exams administered by TTB. You can view the Turkish and English versions of the questions at the same time during the exam.

There is no Turkish translation of the exams except for the CTFL exam.

+ 25% time rule is offered by ISTQB in cases where the exam booklet in the native language cannot be provided, it is not optional. The Turkish-English booklet is offered to participants whose native language is Turkish and the duration is 60 minutes. In cases where the native language is not Turkish, the English booklet is offered and the duration is 75 minutes. In cases where your native language is different from Turkish, you must notify the TTB team in writing during the exam registration.

You have the right to postpone your exam once. The candidate must notify TTB® of their exam postponement request via e-mail at the latest 15 days before the exam date. Otherwise, the candidate will be able to attend the exam by paying a penalty of 50% of the participation fee for the relevant exam.
If the candidate notifies TTB® via e-mail at the latest 15 days before the exam date to cancel their exam right, the entire exam fee will be refunded and their right to enter the exam will be canceled. If the participant waives their right to enter the exam 15 days before the exam, 50% of the participation fee they paid will be refunded.
Foundation Level, Foundation Level Agile Tester and Specialist exam results are shared by e-mail until the end of the exam day; all Advanced Level exam results are shared within 7-10 days.
Your certificate is sent to your e-mail address on the day you enter the exam if you are successful.
According to ISTQB rules, we cannot share the exam questions with you since they are currently being used for other participants. You can request your exam summary and subject-based success rate from the TTB team.
There is no Turkish translation for exams other than Foundation Level.
Certificates are valid internationally. Certificates are issued in English and can be verified from the link on the certificate.

You must fill out the form at https://www.turkishtestingboard.org/istqb-sertifika-kazananlar/ adresinde yer alan formu doldurarak scr@turkishtestingboard.org In order for your name to be published on the TTB website, you must have received your certificate from TTB.

E- archive invoices are prepared and issued according to the information received as a result of the query of the Turkish Republic ID number you provided in the registration form in the system. Since we cannot perform manual intervention, we cannot respond positively to your request. This situation does not affect the certificate to be given if you enter the exam and pass the exam.
In cases where the payment will be made by the company, the invoice type must be selected as "Corporate" during registration. Please check your "Invoice Type" selection again by contacting your company. It will not be possible to cancel or edit the invoice after the invoice is issued.
There is no number limit for participation in the exam. However, as TTB, we can only accept as many registrations as the question set we have. If it is insufficient for you, you can re-register from different exam providers.
